The Alibis is a relatively new usenet provider, offering the access to the more than 120.000 usenet newsgroups. On their website, they also notify the potential client that they offer all the favorite adult newsgroups as well. They offer unlimited downloads, low price, unrestricted access to the newsgroups, the retention of 450 days (for the binary groups) and 720 days for the text groups and high completition rates. They also offer the 24/7 customer support, 30 simultaneous connections, they are compatible with the all the major Internet service providers and provide the free SSL encryption for all the accounts. The manipulation of the thumbnails is performed through the free web-based thumbnail interface.When talking about privacy, they do not keep log files of what user downloads or views. The client that wants to sign up with them must be 18 years old (probably because of the availability of the adult newsgroups). They have three payment options which are listed below:
- 30 Day recurring which costs $8.95 for the first month and it is automatically re-billed every 30 days. But, the user should be aware of the fact that the price goes up after this first month; it rises up to $14.95.

Regarding some other features, they provide a number of discussion groups and they appear to be a place where different types of information can be found. Unfortunately, they do not offer the trial (for example seven days free as some other providers), so you don’t know what kind of service is waiting for you unless you pay the price for the first month.
Although, after a couple of tests performed over their customer service, it appears that their service is something to be desired, but on the other hand, their web pages reflect the level of the service much more accurate, since the web pages themselves weren’t updated since the year of 2008.
