Review Of Billy News

Billy News Review

This provider can no longer be found under this name. Instead, you try to visit their former website (http://www.billynews.com/), you will be automatically redirected to the website of Uncensored Newsfeed. While still known under the Billy News name, they were claiming to be one of the fastest growing usenet providers, setting the industry standard for robust, reliable, and cost effective NNTP services. The goal of their company was to provide the fastest and most economical usenet service available in the world.

Servers

There were 3 different specialized servers with more than 1.5TB of storage data available per server (1 million articles/day). These servers also had super-fast OC-12 connections and multiple redundant spools load balanced on solid server architecture.

Retention and completion

Their former website contains no information about either. Unfortunately, we couldn’t find this information on several other specialized usenet websites either.

Pricing

There was only one option available and had the price of $8.95. It is not stated directly what bandwidth limit was included in this package, but considering the fact that there were 3 servers available and daily limit per one server was 250Mb, we can conclude that monthly bandwidth was around 22GB.

Recommendation

There is no use of giving the recommendation since they don’t exist under this name for years.
