Review Of Newsburg
The Newsburg is the provider of premium quality usenet news access services. They provide the access to both binary and text groups. Actually, this is rather uncertain. See, the problem is that they haven’t updated the website since 2005 and if you decide to sign up, you’ll get the following message: „Sorry, we don’t take new customers. “ But, it is questionable whether they are really in service or not because we don’t see the reason why would they keep the website active for the last five years if they don’t plan to take new customers sometime again. Despite this inactivity, we’ll talk about them as they are still in service, although they appear to be in hiatus.
Servers
There are 3 servers available, one on the East Coast, one on the West Coast and the third in the Europe. They have the following address:

The redundant servers and high bandwidth Internet connections ensure 24/7 uptime, providing the high availability and quality of service as well. The SSL encryption is not available and, finally, 10 parallel connections are available for use.

The binary retention is more than 90 days; the retention for the text groups is more than three years and the completion in binary groups is 99.9%.

Privacy
The privacy is taken very seriously. They don’t log the downloading activity.
Recommendation
It is this somehow hard to give recommendation about the provider that does not allow the subscription for the new users. But, according to pricing, we can say that it is very good, the retention for text groups is rather high, although, on the other side, the retention for the binary groups is rather low.
