Huge library w/ popular newsgroups
Easy to use, nice features
Nice free account.

After NZBMatrix shuttered their website, the developers at decided that rather than replace NZBMatrix, they would pick up where it left off, always going bigger and better. The highly modified Newsnab website presently boasts well in excess of 1 million NZBs and has an excellent free account. Features

Presently the site is open to the general public, though registration is required. Here are a few of the highlights of this website:

  • API integration for many popular newsreaders.
  • 1 million + NZBs indexed, though site admin says this could be a gross underestimate.
  • Publicly available.
  • Custom built servers, though exact details are considered confidential.
  • No plans for invitation only registration.
  • RSS/API supported. Memberships

Registration is required to use the site, and the free account will allow you 10 downloads and 200 API calls per day. If this isn’t enough, a $10 annual donation will allow you up to 1,000 downloads and API requests per day. There are presently no plans to take the site an “invitation only” status. Public Access NZB Indexes

Presently the only worries that the site admin have is paying the bills. Through their custom servers that have managed to keep overhead at a minimum, and even exceed some expectations, such as the getting pre-times taking less than 30 seconds. There is some advertising though. But the developers say that it is all “safe for work” ads to avoid offending some of the user base.
