Quick Summary Review
Shared Usenet accounts available.
Expensive, but worth it.
This Newsnab website currently indexes hundreds of thousands of NZBs across at least 135 newsgroups. The site doesn’t index any foreign groups, and has a few over 700 members now. Registration is currently open, though they have promised to go back to “invitation only” when they have reached their maximum numbers of members.
There are the standard fare of features for Newsnab websites, though there is only the possibility of joining as a paid member. Developers have enough combined experience that the site is all the time adding new features, and they are aiming for a spot in the next release of Sickbeard.
There are two levels of access, with the option of adding shared Usenet access to your account. They accept BitCoin, PayPal and most Credit cards and all payments are a one-time payment. Here’s how the tiers work:
- $25 Account: 1,000 API calls p/day (Lifetime.)
- $75 Account: Unlimited API calls p/day. (Lifetime.)
- $50 Shared Usenet: For an additional $50 added to your unlimited account, you can share the communities’ Usenet access.
SmackDownOnYou Public Access NZB Indexes
While there isn’t any kind of trial, we can assure you that SmackDownOnYou is one of the better of the private NZB indexing websites. And the possibility of adding Usenet access, (albeit shared access,) to a single account for a one-time payment is a defined plus for us.
