If you want to check the quality of Individual’s service without obligation before deciding if you want to pay for it, you can choose during registration that you would like a free two-week trial account.

Plan / Price Offerings

There is only one option that costs €10 per year, including the applicable VAT Contract duration is one year, after which the subscription can be renewed for another year by paying €10 again (they will remind you in time).  Cancellation is not necessary:  At the end of a subscription period, simply do not pay for the next period.

Connection Speeds / Server Locations

We have not tested the connection speeds of Individual, and there are no information listed on their website about this.  I couldn’t say speed depends on the plan, since Individual only has one pricing plan.

Although they have rather big FAQ section, it is hard to believe that there is no information about the servers available, but according the initial description, it is likely they have one server farm located in the Berlin. SSL is optional, but it is available though. It covers not only the authentication, but the entire connection as well.

Individual’s Usenet service has not been tested by us yet, but if you’re looking for information about retention and completion, you are in the wrong place. As you have probably assumed, there is no information about either of these on their website.
